ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Basketball team advanced to the Rinso Marquette Tournament championship game after a convincing 60-46 victory over Penn State Schuylkill in the semifinal round on Saturday evening.

How It Happened
  • The Dutchmen started hot on the offensive end in the first quarter as they quickly jumped out to a 14-4 lead over the Lions following a 7-0 run that saw a Cristina Fernandez three-pointer and free throws from Kate Fitzpatrick and Samya Santiague. LVC would lead by nine, 17-8 after the first period.
  • LVC came out in the second quarter with 11 straight points, capped by a pair of threes from Allison Bimmer as the Dutchmen pushed their lead out to 20. The Lions would go on a 7-0 run of their own but the Dutchmen responded well and closed out the half on a Fitzpatrick trey to take a 33-17 lead into halftime.
  • In the second half, LVC didn't allow the Lions to claw back into the contest as they maintained a double-digit lead throughout the final two quarters and would coast to a 60-46 win to advance to tomorrow's championship.
