RYE, N.Y. – A big second period by Manhattanville downed the Lebanon Valley Women's Ice Hockey team in UCHC action 3-0 on Friday night. The Dutchmen fall to 2-3, 1-2 UCHC while the Valiants remain unbeaten at 3-0, 3-0 UCHC.

How It Happened

• In the opening period, both teams would have a pair of power play chances but neither special teams were able to capitalize and both teams went into the first intermission scoreless.
• The second period saw the Valiants' offense get on a roll as the netted all three goals in the middle stanza. Gabrielle Cox would find the back of the net first just under six minutes into the period to break the scoreless tie. Towards the end of the frame, Manhattanville would add a pair of goals in a 3:11 span to push their lead out to three with just one period left to play.
• The Dutchmen offense were unable to break through against a stingy Manhattanville defense as they were held off the scoreboard in the 3-0 loss.

Inside The Numbers

• Neither power play group could score on multiple chances, LVC went 0-for-7 on the PP while the Valiants were scoreless in three opportunities.
• Manhattanville held a 29-20 advantage in shots for the game.
• Shelby Guinard made 26 saves in net for LVC.
• The Valiants held a 34-16 edge in faceoffs.
