CHESTER, Pa. – In a game that featured a lot of shots but just one goal, Lebanon Valley's 
Hannah Ferguson's lone goal lifted the Dutchmen to a 1-0 victory at Widener on Wednesday evening. The Dutchmen improve to 4-5-1, 2-0 MACC while the Pride falls to 6-3, 1-1 MACC.
How It Happened
	- The first half wasn't short of action despite neither team able to find the back of the net in the opening 45 minutes. The two teams combined for 17 shots and three corner kicks in the first half. Jocelyn Umana made six saves in the opening half for LVC as the two teams went into halftime scoreless.
- In the second half, the shots kept coming from both sides as the two teams combined for 16 more shots in the final 45 minutes. In the 75th minute, Hannah Ferguson would break the scoreless tie as she found the back of the net to give LVC the lead. The 1-0 score would hold as the Dutchmen picked up their second conference win to start the conference slate of their schedule.
Inside The Numbers
	- Hannah Ferguson recorded her first goal of the season to lift the Dutchmen.
- Jocelyn Umana was excellent in between the pipes as she finished the game with nine saves.
- The Pride held a slim 16-15 shot advantage and 9-6 on target.
- LVC had eight corner kick chances compared to just two for Widener.
- The Dutchmen committed eight fouls while the Pride were whistled for just two.
- This is the first time LVC has started 2-0 in conference play since 2011.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen travel to take on No. 14 Messiah this Saturday in a battle of the last two unbeatens in conference play. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Grantham, Pa.
