- Coming out of the dressing room, Morrisville State would add to their lead with a power play goal just 35 ticks into the second period. At the 12:54 mark, the Mustangs would add another goal and pushed their lead out to three. The Dutchmen offense would get one back with just under two minutes to go in the second when Alex Borowiec found the back of the net on another Dutchmen power play.
- With LVC trailing 4-2, Blake Tosto would beat the Mustang netminder just 1:35 into the third to bring the Dutchmen back to within one. Around the midway point of the period, Cade Freer would blast in the equalizing goal and LVC had battled all the way back, tying the game 4-4.
- With just under ten minutes remaining in regulation, Jered Stevenson would fire a shot that would find nylon and gave LVC their first lead since the opening period. The Dutchmen defense would hold tight down the stretch as the Dutchmen completed the comeback to pick up the 5-4 win.
