SUNY Cortland 3, Lebanon Valley 0
How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – SUNY Cortland used three third-period goals to take down Lebanon Valley 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's ice hockey action. The Flying Dutchmen slipped to 1-1, while the Red Dragons jumped to 2-0.
The visiting Red Dragons broke a 0-0 tie just 1:05 into the third period when Dany Donegan scored on the power play from Jillian Hlasnick and Elena Eichmann. Then, 5:56 into the third, Cortland netted another after Grace Schnorr found the back of the net. Less than two minutes later, Eichmann scored her first of the game to put the Dragons ahead 3-0.
Midway through the third,
Tate Murphy had a good scoring chance, but Cortland's Anna Hamid was there for the save. Later in the period,
Chloe Glass saw a good scoring opportunity, but Hamid made the stop. From there, LVC was unable to complete the comeback against a high-powered team and eventually fell 3-0.Â
