What You Need to Know
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley falls 31-3 to No. 7 Delaware Valley in conference action on Saturday afternoon. LVC drops to 3-5, 2-4 MAC on the year while the Aggies remain perfect at 8-0, 6-0.
1st Quarter
- Delaware Valley would use a combination of a strong running game and stifling defense to build a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Daquan Bohannon would account for both touchdowns in the opening quarter. He would skirt his was into the endzone from three yards out for the first score and then toss an 8-yard TD pass for the second.
2nd Quarter
- The Dutchmen defense would settle in as the second quarter went on as they kept Delaware Valley out of the endzone for the entire period.
- LVC would get on the scoreboard themselves when Kevin Roberts knocked in a field goal with 4:50 remaining before half. The Aggies would connect on a field goal of their own as time expired in the first half as LVC faced a 17-3 deficit going into the locker room.
3rd Quarter
- The third quarter was more of a defensive struggle with neither offense to get into much of a rhythm. Neither offense would manage any points in the third stanza.
- Delaware Valley would score a touchdown in the quarter however on the defensive side of the ball when Anthony Nobile scooped a fumble and returned it 19 yards for a score as the Aggies now led 24-3 with just 15 minutes to play.
4th Quarter
- The Aggies would add one final touchdown in the fourth quarter and the LVC offense continued to have little success against the Delaware Valley defense as the Dutchmen would fall 31-3.
Numbers and Notes
- Cameron Niemeyer led LVC with 20 receiving yards in the game.
- The Aggies controlled the ground game on both sides of the ball, outrushing the Dutchmen 273-0.
- Brandon Brubaker was all over the field on defense for LVC, finishing with a game-high 10 tackles, five solo, and a pair of sacks.
- Erik Williams and Josh Hathaway also made a lot of tackles for the Dutchmen, registering eight apiece.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen return home for their final home contest of the season next Saturday. LVC will take on Misericordia at 1 p.m. on Arnold Field with Senior Day taking place prior to the game.
