COMPLETE RESULTS
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley swim team opened up their 2021-22 season with a matchup at Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon. The women were victorious in the dual meet winning 137-52 while the men fell in their season debut 138-56.
On the women's side, LVC won seven of the races on the afternoon over Lycoming. LVC took first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:16.7 from the team of
Jess Trent,
Jenna Frenick,
Jillian Frenick, and
Karli Averill. Averill was also victorious in the 200-yard free finishing with a time of 2:25.97.
Emily Beard took first in the 100-yard fly after touching the wall at 1:07.07. In the 100-yard free,
Colleen Caribardi took first with a time of 1:05.39.
Cayla Sydow took first in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:07.59.
Courtney Betsock was victorious in the 100-yard breast with a finish of 1:17.04. Finally for the women, the team of Sydow, Caribardi, Beard, and Betsock took first place in the 200-yard free relay.
On the men's side,
Zach Peiffer had a strong showing in the 100-yard fly picking up a second-place finish at 58.01.
David Palmer also grabbed second in the 100-yard backstroke when he touched the wall at 1:00.05. The team of Peiffer,
Justin Kopp, Josh Varner, and
Noah Miccio earned second at 1:39.01 in the 200-yard free relay.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen are back in action on Friday, Nov. 5 when they host King's College (Pa.) This will also be the Breast Cancer/Children's Cancer Awareness Meet. The dual match will start at 6 p.m. in the Arnold Sports Center.
