How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team fell 2-1 in a back-and-forth match against Chatham University in UCHC play on Saturday night. Chatham picked up a goal early in the third to push by the Dutchmen. LVC falls to 2-9-1 in UCHC play while Chatham improves to 3-7-2 in league play.

Picking up play late in the first period, Chatham's Brooke Almond was able to finish off a Cougar offensive sequence with the first goal of the contest. The Cougars would hold on to that one-goal advantage as the teams headed to the first intermission.

Late in the second frame, Chatham was on the powerplay when Emma Simpson knocked the puck out of the zone before Chloe Glass would poke the puck further around a Chatham skater and then beat the goaltender one-on-one with a backhand shot to tie the game up with just 1:01 left in the second period.

Just over four minutes into the third, Sydney Collins recorded an unassisted goal to grab the lead back for the Cougars. LVC would have two powerplay chances in the final stanza but was unable to capitalize on either and they would fall just short, 2-1, to Chatham.
