ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Esports team picked up four more victories to finish off the week and continue its best start in its short program history. Between the combination of Rocket League, Hearthstone, Valorant, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros., the Flying Dutchmen's Esports team has an impressive 15-1 overall mark.
This past Wednesday, LVC made its Valorant debut and picked up a 2-0 victory over Robert Morris University. The starters for the Dutchmen included
Robbie Bonnaci,
Nikolai Neufeld-Kreider,
Robert Rhoads,
Andrew Seneca, and
Jon Lam.
Then, on Thursday, the LVC Hearthstone squad, consisting of
Eli Jones,
Brandon Kemmery, and
Wyatt Morrison, continued its early-season domination and snuck away with a 3-2 win over Florida Atlantic University.
The Overwatch team was also in action on Thursday and a team of
Jacob Triano,
Benjamin McDonnell,
Colin Brophy, Neufeld-Kreider,
Grayson Rule, and
Joshua Brethauer downed Shenandoah's JV Team 3-0. Finally, on Friday a squad of
Darrell Walker,
Corey Frederick,
Patrick Stone, and
Andrew Syslo took on Montgomery County Community College in LVC's first Super Smash Bros. contest of the year and blanked the Mustangs 2-0.
LVC looks to stay hot next week, beginning with Overwatch action on Monday vs. Arcadia University.
