ANNVILLE, Pa. – A pair of Lebanon Valley's Esports teams earned big victories on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The Call of Duty squad and CS:GO were both in action last evening.
In the opening match of the night, the Call of Duty team, which consisted by team captain
Andrew Kierce, as well as
Bryan Towers,
Chris DeClerico,
Ethan Filbert, and
Peter Campagna, bounced back after a tough loss to Rutgers and blanked the University of Maryland 3-0.
Then, following that match, the CS:GO squad, made up of team captain
Brandon Kemmery, with
Dustin Haberstumpf,
Trent Petro,
Nikolai Neufeld-Kreider, and
Robbie Bonnaci upset the University of California Santa Cruz 1-0 in a shocking upset. UCSC boasts some of the best players in the country and was recently ranked No. 6 overall prior to the Flying Dutchmen's stunning victory.
