How It Happened
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming used a big first half to take down Lebanon Valley 76-54 on Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth men's basketball action. The Flying Dutchmen fell to 6-9, 1-5 MACC, while the Warriors jumped to 11-5, 4-3 MACC.
The home team hopped out to a quick 10-4 lead after Dyson Harward's triple made it 10-4 in favor of Lycoming with 15:02 left in the opening half. LVC then answered with a
Mason Green layup, followed by
Zach Tucker's jumper to bring the visiting Dutchmen back to within two at 10-8 with 13:28 to go. Later, with LVC still down by just two at 14-12 with 11:42 left, the Warriors went on a 9-2 spurt to take a double-digit advantage at 25-14 with 8:12 remaining in the opening half.
From there, the Dutchmen hung around as best as they could, but Lycoming's hot shooting allowed the Warriors to take a 19-point lead into halftime at 42-23 after the home team shot 60% from the floor as a team in the first 20 minutes of action.
In the first 10 minutes of the second half, LVC continued to stay within striking distance and with 12:07 left,
Trevor Covey knocked down a 3-pointer to bring his team to within 15 at 50-35, however Lyco's Mo Terry responded with a trey of his own to put the Warriors back on top by 18 at 53-35. The home team maintained its substantial lead for the remainder of the contest and eventually held on for the 76-54 victory.

Justin Baker finished with nine points and seven rebounds for the Dutchmen.

Bryce Diehl off the bench.

Luis Garcia each netted five points.
- LVC shot just 35.1% from the floor overall, while the Warriors shot 43.5%.
- Mo Terry led all scorers with 20 points.
- Lyco narrowly led in points off turnovers (12-11) and points in the paint (30-26).
- LVC held the advantage in second-chance points (14-11) and bench points (26-23).
Who's Next?
LVC looks to get back on track on Saturday, Jan. 18, when the Dutchmen head to Stevenson University for a 3 p.m. battle with the Mustangs.
