How It Happened
SHELTON, Conn. – A big third period from Post University was enough to down the Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team, 5-2, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dutchmen got on the scoreboard first just 6:50 into the contest when Olivia Cindrich found the stick of Allison DiPrato who was able to beat the Post goaltender to give LVC the early 1-0 advantage. In the final minutes of the first period, Post would pull back even on a goal from Madison Turley and the teams went into the dressing room tied at one after the first 20 minutes.

After a scoreless second frame, Post would pick up four goals in the third period to put away the Dutchmen. Goals from Molly Brumfield and Jenna Abeyta put LVC down a pair with just over nine minutes remaining in regulation. Chloe Glass would answer less than a minute after the Abeyta goal to pull LVC back within one. Post would respond with a goal just 42 seconds late to push their lead back to a pair. A late goal for Post in the final minute was the final blow as the Dutchmen fell 5-2.
