How It Happened
DALLAS, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's soccer team fought back from a three-goal deficit with under 13 minutes left in regulation to tie Misericordia 3-3 on Wednesday evening in Dallas, Pa. Kurtis Rineer, Rob Hanosek, and Braydon Shuck all found the back of the net late for the Dutchmen. LVC's record is now 0-1-1 and Misericordia sits at 1-0-2.

The Cougars jumped out to the early lead off a strike from Nick Szczerba off a Levi Roberts assist just under 10 minutes into the first half. Just 11 minutes later, Misericordia would find the net again, this time off the foot of Max Gariano to push the Cougars lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute.

The Cougar offense continued to click throughout the first half as they added another goal at the 34:13 mark on Szczerba's second tally of the game. Misericordia took a 3-0 advantage into the intermission.

The Dutchmen would threaten early in the second half when Hanosek would knock one off the crossbar keeping LVC at bay. At the 77:02 mark, Rineer would get the Dutchmen on the board with his second goal of the season as LVC trailed by two goals with just under 13 minutes to play. A little over six minutes later, Hanosek would capitalize this time placing the ball in the back of the net, off an Ivan Jorel assist, cutting the deficit to just one. With just 61 seconds left in regulation, it was Shuck blasting in the equalizer and sending the game into extra time deadlocked at 3-3.

Both teams would have opportunities in the two overtime periods but neither could beat the opposing keeper as the teams fought to a 3-3 draw.
