ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team earned their second win of the season with an 8-1 victory over Susquehanna University on Saturday afternoon.
In the doubles matches, LVC went 2-1 on the day over the River Hawks. The #1 doubles pair of
Blake Martin and
Justin Schuetz were victorious by an 8-4 mark.
Luke Senft and
Ben Hinkley picked up an 8-3 win at the #3 doubles slot.
The Dutchmen men would sweep all six singles matches on the day. Schuetz, Martin,
Nicholas Balaci,
Reed Morris, Hinkley, and Senft were all winners in singles play. Three of the matches went to a third set. Schuetz won at the #1 singles spot in three sets. He dropped the first set in a tiebreak, but would bounce back to take the next two fairly easily. Martin, in #2 singles, almost mirrors Schuetz by also dropping the first set before taking the next two sets quickly. The final three-set match was Morris winning 10-8 in the third set to earn the victory at #4 singles.
