How It Happened
BALTIMORE, Md. – Lebanon Valley scored two goals in both the second and third quarter and blanked Goucher College 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference field hockey action. The Dutchmen improved to 3-5, while the Gophers dropped to 4-3.

After neither team could find the back of the cage in the first, LVC struck 4:35 into the second quarter when Faither Dinger scored off an assist from Hannah Simon to give the visiting Dutchmen a 1-0 advantage. Later in the quarter, Danielle Alba scored just over three minutes before halftime, giving LVC a 2-0 cushion heading into the third.

The Dutchmen continued their dominance in the second half and just 1:25 into the third quarter, Ashlee Sheibley found the back of the cage off an assist from Taylor Pentz, making it a 3-0 contest. Then, with just over four minutes to go in the third, Alba put the game out of reach with her second tally of the day, making it 4-0. From there, LVC's defense continued to limit the Gopher's chances and Corinne Kearney and the Dutchmen hung on for the dominant 4-0 shutout victory.
