How It Happened
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's soccer fell short against Gettysburg College by a 2-0 score in Gettysburg on Wednesday night. The Dutchmen fall to 2-3-1 with the loss while the Bullets improve to 4-2 on the season.

Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard in the first half of play. Despite firing off 11 shots with six on goal in the first half, Gettysburg was unable to beat Sean Quirk who made six saves to keep the game scoreless into the intermission.

In the second half, the Gettysburg onslaught continued as they outshot LVC 12-4 in the final 45 minutes. The Bullets would finally crack a stingy Dutchmen defense in the 51st minute when Oladayo Thomas finished off the fast break on a pass from Raff Mazzone to put LVC in a 1-0 hole. With just over five minutes left in regulation, Gettysburg would put away the Dutchmen with a second goal. Precious Ozoh was on the receiving end of a Jack Carroll assist and knocked the ball into the net off the right post to double the advantage. Gettysburg would go on to top LVC 2-0.

Inside the Numbers
  • Sean Quirk made a career-high eight saves.
  • The Bullets outshot LVC 23-8 and 10-5 on goal for the game.
  • This was Gettysburg's second shutout and just the first time LVC was held scoreless this year.
