How It Happened
STEVENSON, Md. – The Stevenson Mustangs beat the Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen 7-4 in game one of Saturday afternoon's doubleheader. The Mustangs advanced to 19-19, 9-10 MAC Commonwealth, while the Dutchmen dropped to 14-22, 6-13 MAC Commonwealth.
Stevenson was the first to cross home in the bottom of the first, but LVC tied it up in the top of the second when
Tanner Rock hit a sacrifice fly scoring
Joey Wrabel. Stevenson kept their lead with a sacrifice fly of its own and was up 2-1. Both teams remained locked up until the top of the fourth when
Michael Leri singled to left field platting Wrabel once again. In the bottom of the fourth, the Mustangs platted two more and created a two-point separation. LVC answered back in the top of the fifth when
TJ Holdredge hit one deep in to center scoring
Chris DeClerico and Carter Williams and tied it back up at 4-4.
Stevenson went on to score three more runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings and eventually on 7-4.
Inside the Numbers
- Herring reached a milestone today and recorded his 100th career hit.

TJ Holdredge had a team high with two RBI.

Tanner Rock had one RBI apiece.

Joey Wrabel scored two runs, and
Chris DeClerico and Carter Williams each added one to the board.

How It Happened
In game two, Stevenson kept its momentum from game one and went up four runs in the bottom of the first. LVC couldn't find an answer back until the top of the fourth with the bases loaded,
Luke Blair doubled down deep into right center scoring
Bryan Towers and
Nick O'Shea.
Chris DeClerico was up next and plated
Seiler Edwards. With two outs,
TJ Holdredge stepped up to the plate and singled to left field bringing Blair home. The Dutchmen tied the score at 4-4.
Both teams stayed locked up and went into extra innings. In the top of the ninth, Holdredge hit a bomb deep left center scoring
Josh Herring. Stevenson, however, answered back with two more run and went on to win 6-5.
