How It Happened
CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen were outscored by the Widener Pride 11 goals to five on Wednesday night's Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth men's lacrosse action. The Dutchmen fell to 6-10, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth, while the Pride jumped to 5-10, 4-3 MAC Commonwealth.
Widener was the first to find the back of the net 5:12 into the first quarter and then again with 2:19 remaining. In the second quarter,
Josh Croyle with the assist from
Max Warmingham netted one with 9:34 on the clock, and then
Kevin Beaver scored unassisted less than two minutes later.
Both teams kept going back and forth staying within three points of each other. It wasn't until late in the fourth when Widener went on a three-point run netting its last goal with 0:33 left in the game, and the Pride went on to win 11-5.
