How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley scored six goals in both the second and third quarter en route to a 16-9 victory over Albright in the Flying Dutchmen's 2019 season finale. LVC ended the season at 7-10, 3-5 MAC Commonwealth, while the Lions ended 2019 at 1-13, 1-7 MAC Commonwealth.
Prior to the start of today's game, the Dutchmen honored its eight seniors in
Max Warmingham,
Nick Mowry,
Joe Olives,
Kevin Beaver,
Nate Owsinski,
Barrett Campbell,
Cam Epple, and
Matt Torrence.
Each team traded goals in the opening quarter as both defenses held the respective offenses in check. Torrence opened the scoring just over three minutes into action with a goal from
Evan Crawford, but with 3:08 left in the opening period, the Lions' Ethan Gain tied things up when he found the back of the net.
The second quarter was a completely different story for LVC. Beaver scored his first of the game and 43rd of the season at 9:34, followed by Olives' tally from
Michael Fisher at 7:02. The Dutchmen's offense continued to click when Beaver and Olives went back-to-back again, and Beaver then scored again at 3:01 to give the home team a comfy 7-2 advantage heading into halftime.
In the third, the Dutchmen picked up where they left off in the second and scored three consecutive goals, all by different players. Warmingham netted his fifth of the season and Beaver and Olives scored consecutive goals for the third time of the day. Carson Babcock's goal brought the Lions to within seven at 10-3 with 7:26 to go in the third, but
Trevor Holak answered with an unassisted goal less than a minute later, followed by a goal from Torrence at 6:09. The Dutchmen added another with 13 seconds to go when Warmingham netted another, giving LVC a 13-6 lead going into fourth-quarter action.
Beaver scored two more times in the fourth, and became just the third player in program history to eclipse the 100-career goals mark.
Inside the Numbers
- Beaver finished with six goals and moves into second place in LVC men's lacrosse history in career goals.
- Olives netted three goals and notched a team-high four assists for seven points.
- Torrence ended with two goals and three assists to go along with three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.
- Warmingham scored twice and added two helpers for LVC.
- Holak found the back of the net twice on five shots.

Evan Crawford went for a goal and two assists.
- On defense, Mowry scooped up six ground balls and notched an assist.

Courtland Hackel went 16-for-28 in faceoffs and collected six ground balls.

Cam Epple got the victory in between the pipes after making 14 saves. He finishes his illustrious career as the Dutchmen's all-time wins and saves leader.

Luke Tamberino scooped up three ground balls and caused a turnover.
