M. Tennis Locks Up Postseason Berth on Senior Day

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen clinched a playoff spot after the 9-0 victory against the Lycoming Warriors on Tuesday afternoon's Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth men's tennis action. The Dutchmen advanced to 10-5, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth, while the Warriors fell to 3-11, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth.
 
The Dutchmen honored its two seniors David To and Elliott Kleckner on senior day today.
 
LVC won 8-0 in all three doubles matches. In No. 1 doubles, Kleckner and Reed Morris took down Mitch Wheary and Nick Meek 8-0, and in No. 2 doubles, Justin Schuetz and Blake Martin took down Sam Lamport and Spencer Pedersen 8-0. Luke Senft and Ben Hinkley won 8-0 due to forfeit in No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles, LVC was undefeated only allowing the Warriors to score one point in each match. In No. 1 singles, Martin beat Wheary 6-1, 6-0, and in No. 2 singles, Schuetz crushed Meek 6-0, 6-1. In No. 3 and No. 4 singles, both Morris and Kleckner scored six unanswered points in both sets. In No. 5 singles, David To beat Theo Gouskos 6-1, 6-0, and Ben Hinkley won by a forfeit in No. 6 singles.
