How It Happened
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Lebanon Valley suffered an 11-5 setback at the hands of No. 20 Stevenson University on Tuesday night in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action. The Flying Dutchmen slipped to 6-9, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth, while the Mustangs jumped to 8-6, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth.

Stevenson netted the game's first four goals, including a pair by Ethan Christensen, to take a 4-0 advantage with 5:52 remaining in the first quarter. The Dutchmen got one back late in the opening quarter when Joe Olives found the back of the net for his 11th goal of the season to bring LVC to within one at 4-1 after one period of action. In the second, the Mustangs held the Dutchmen off the scoreboard and added two more goals to go up 6-1 at halftime.

In the third, after the home team made it 7-1, Matt Torrence netted his 29th of the year, bringing the visiting Dutchmen to within five. The Mustangs, however, answered with back-to-back goals, but Torrence scored again with 18 seconds to go to make it a 9-3 game. Then, in the fourth quarter, Evan Crawford and Kevin Beaver netted consecutive goals for LVC, but it wasn't enough, as LVC went on to fall by an 11-5 score.
