How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Widener Pride held an early lead to outscored the Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen 7-2 in game one of Saturday afternoon's double header. Widener moved to 12-18-1, 6-8 Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MACC), while LVC dropped to 13-15, 5-9 MACC.
Before the game, LVC honored its class of 2019:
Joey Wrabel,
Jake Williams,
Ryan Showalter,
Nick O'Shea,
Josh Willey, and
Josh Marcelli.
Widener came out swinging, and the first at bat tripled to left center. With the bases loaded, the Pride singled through to the left side and scored two runs. Widener's next at bat sent one to the shortstop and earned an RBI platting another runner. The Dutchmen answered back with a run of its own after
Josh Marcelli hit a sacrifice fly to center field platting
Chris DeClerico. In the top of the third and fifth innings, Widener added three more to the board and led 6-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Dutchmen scored on another sacrifice fly by
Nick O'Shea scoring
TJ Holdredge. In the top of the final inning, the Pride kept its five point spread after a bunt by Ryan Bennett platting Stephen DeBellis. LVC was unable to score any more runs and Widener won 7-2.

How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley scored in the second inning and kept the lead earning the 2-1 victory over Widener in game two of Saturday afternoon's doubleheader. LVC jumped to 14-15, 6-9 MACC, while the Pride fell to 12-19-1, 6-9 MACC.
In the bottom of the second,
Josh Marcelli hit a bomb down the right field line landing him on second and TJ Holderdge on third.
Nick O'Shea was up next and singled through to the left side scoring Holdredge and earning an RBI.
Mike Bulgia was up next with O'Shea on first and Marcelli on third and hit one deep in to right center platting Marcelli.
Both teams stayed locked up at 2-0, until the top of the seventh when Widener's Stephen DeBellis with two outs singled to right center scoring Tommy McParland, and the Pride was within one. Lebanon Valley kept the Pride from scoring any more runs and went on to win 2-1.
