How It Happened
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – In Lebanon Valley's opening game against Kenyon College (Ohio), the Flying Dutchmen earned their seventh consecutive victory in a 7-3 win over the Lords.

LVC was the first to get on the scoreboard when Evan Hartmen hit a two-out RBI-single through the left side to score Nick O'Shea. Kenyon, however, took a 2-1 advantage in the bottom of the third after Contreras' RBI-single, followed by O'Leary's RBI-double down the left field line. The Dutchmen evened the score though, in the top of the fourth with Mitch Rickabaugh's sacrifice fly that plated Michael Leri.

In the fifth, LVC took the lead for good when TJ Holdredge singled through the left side and Bryan Towers and Mike Bulgia scored. Josh Herring later reached on a fielder's choice to score Tanner Rock and increase the Dutchmen's lead to 5-2. In the sixth, LVC padded its advantage with Joey Wrabel's sac-fly, followed by Herring scoring on a wild pitch. The Lords were able to plate a run in the top of the seventh, but reliever Matt Blocksom escaped further damage and the Dutchmen held on for their seventh straight victory.

How It Happened
In game two of days twinbill, the Dutchmen's seven-game win streak was haulted by the Lords thanks to a big inning by Kenyon. LVC now sits at 7-1 overall, while the Lords jumped to 4-2.

In the top of the first, Kenyon's O'Leary singled home Page for an early lead. Then, in the second inning, the Lords increased their advantage to 6-0, putting LVC in a tough hole. Herring drew a bases-loaded walk in the third to cut into the deficit, and Josh Marcelli then added a sac-fly, but the Lords got out of the inning still ahead 6-2.

From there, the Dutchmen threated in a few innings, but weren't able to complete the comeback. Kenyon's Contreras added a single to third base in the top of the sixth for some insurance and the Lords went on to take the game 7-2.

Inside the Numbers
 - Holdredge was solid in relief for LVC, tossing 3.1 innings and allowing no runs and striking out a pair.
 - Ethan Stratton pitched the final two innings for the Dutchmen and gave up an unearned run and struck out two.
 - Kenyon's Patrick O'Leary went the distance while allowing five hits.
 - Seiler Edwards compiled a pair of hits in game two.
