How It Happened
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Cam Epple broke the program record for the most saves in a game, but Lebanon Valley fell to the Susquehanna River Hawks 9-7 on Wednesday afternoon's non-conference men's lacrosse action. The Dutchmen dropped to 0-4, while the River Hawks advanced to 3-2.

Susquehanna was the first on the board just 0:42 into the first quarter, but LVC was quick to come back when Matt Torrence, with the assist from Evan Crawford, found the back of the net a minute and 39 seconds later. The River Hawks had a quick come back with two goals, however, giving them a 3-1 advantage. LVC came within one with 5:57 remaining in the first quarter after Michael Fisher with the assist from Joe Olives sniped one past Susquehanna's goalie. Just 18 seconds later, the home team regained its two-point lead 4-2 to end the first quarter.

The Dutchmen came out strong in the second with a goal 2:46 into the quarter by Max Warmingham from Kevin Beaver. Lebanon Valley continued with the offensive pressure and tied up the score 4-4 after a goal from Torrence with the assist from Olives with 5:00 remaining. Susquehanna felt the pressure and gained back the momentum and went on a four-point run, creating an 8-4 lead at the beginning of the third quarter. The River Hawks added one more to the board a minute into the fourth, and LVC tried to come back with two more goals by Nicholas Harbst and Josh Croyle. The point-gap the River Hawks created was too much for the Dutchmen to come back from, and LVC eventually fell 9-7.
