How It Happened
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Four players dropped 10 or more points to lead Lebanon Valley to an 85-75 victory over Stevenson on Wednesday night in MAC Commonwealth men's basketball action. The Dutchmen improved to 7-15, 4-9 MAC Commonwealth, while the Mustangs fell to 14-8, 8-5 MAC Commonwealth.
Early on, the game was tight with LVC leading 7-6 with 15:51 remaining in the first half. The Dutchmen then went on a 9-1 run, capped by an
AJ Catanzaro layup from
Chris Anderson, to take a 16-7 advantage. From there, LVC went on to extend its lead up to 17 at 28-11 after
Mason Green dropped a trey with 8:19 left in the first. Stevenson cut its deficit to nine thanks to a 12-4 run that spanned over six minutes of action, but the Dutchmen increased their lead back to 13 eventually after
Jaylen Reichner's 3-pointer. In the final second of action, Catanzaro connected a layup to give the visitors a 14-point advantage at 39-25 after one half of play.
In the second half, LVC continued to lead big in the early going and extended its lead to as many as 22 after
Jeremy Deihm knocked down a jumper with 16:18 left to make it a 53-31 score. The Mustangs never went away for good, however, and continued to hang around. With 6:34 remaining, Stevenson finally cut LVC's lead to single digits after Cam Harris made a 3-pointer to make it 64-56, but the Dutchmen quickly responded with back-to-back free throws from Deihm, followed by a huge triple from Anderson to increase LVC's lead back to 13 at 69-56 with 5:22 remaining in the contest. The Dutchmen then went on to increase their advantage to 17 and ended up holding on comfortably for the 10-point win at 85-75.
Inside the Numbers
- Deihm finished with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting. He added four rebounds and a pair of steals.

Zach Tucker went for 18 points in 39 minutes of action to go along with four rebounds, a game-high eight assists, and two steals.
- Anderson poured in 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting and notched four rebounds and six helpers.

Trevor Covey was also in double digits in points with 11.

Justin Baker chipped in seven points for LVC.
- Montaque Wright paced Stevenson's offense with 29 points, while Marcus Dentley added 22 points for the Mustangs.
- The Dutchmen shot an impressive 53.7-percent from the floor, while Stevenson shot 45.8-percent.
- LVC led in points off turnovers at 23-16.
- The Dutchmen also held the edge in second-chance points at 13-5 and bench points at 13-10.
- The visitors had the advantage in points in the paint at 32-28.
