How It Happened
CORTLAND, N.Y. – The SUNY Cortland Red Dragons outscored Lebanon Valley 5-0 in Saturday afternoon's women's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen dropped to 6-17-1, and the Dragons jumped to 13-8-3.

In the opening period, Cortland's Katie DeVoe found the back of the net just 54 seconds into the game. Lebanon Valley's defense kept the Dragons at bay until Cortland's Quinn Metcalfe netted one with 14:41 to go in the first. The home team kept at it and slipped on past Jill Moffatt with 2:17 remaining. The Dragons ended the opening period with a 3-0 advantage.

Cortland put another one on the board with 13:57 to go in the second. Lebanon Valley's defensive efforts kept the Dragons from scoring another goal until Grace Schnorr put one in with 0:35 to go in the game. Due to the good defensive game by the Dragons, the Dutchmen were unable to score and fell 5-0.
