How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley was edged by Stevenson 1-0 in Friday night's first game of the series in United College Hockey Conference (UCHC) and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) women's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen dropped to 4-15-0, 1-15-0 UCHC, 0-3 MAC, and the Mustangs advanced to 7-12-1, 4-8-0 UCHC., 3-1-1 MAC.

LVC and Stevenson stayed locked up for both the first and second periods. Jill Moffatt was a huge factor for the scoreless first two periods. She had a total of 41 saves in the first 40 minutes. The Dutchmen received a penalty for hooking 4:45 into the first period, and about a minute later, the mustangs drew another infraction to make it a 5-on-3. Even though the odds were not in the Dutchmen's favor, the defensive efforts by Lebanon Valley didn't allow the visitors to break through.

In the third, Moffatt again kept the opposing team at bay. She had 54 total saves for the night. Despite the efforts in the third period by Olivia Cindrich and Chloe Glass, the Dutchmen were unable to find the back of the net, and Stevenson went on to send one in between the pipes for the only goal of the game 2:41 into the third. The defense of both teams held its ground, and the Mustangs held on to the lead and came out with the 1-0 victory.
