How It Happened
ASHLAND, Va. – After a 12-day hiatus, Lebanon Valley's men's basketball team returned to action at the Randolph-Macon Coaches Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Flying Dutchmen were defeated by the No. 7 Yellow Jackets by a 94-56 margin. LVC fell to 3-7, while RMC stayed perfect and improved to 10-0.

Early on, the hosts showed why they won 27 games a year ago and advanced to the Sweet 16 where RMC was defeated by National Runner-Up, Swarthmore College. The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a quick 13-4 lead with 15:35 left in the opening half and forced the Dutchmen to burn a timeout. LVC answered with four consecutive points, back-to-back jumpers from Trevor Covey and Collin Jones, decreasing the deficit to five at 13-8 with 13:54 remaining in the first.

From there, the Dutchmen kept things close for a few minutes of action, but hot shooting by the Yellow Jackets put the hosts up 32-16 with 7:53 left in the opening half. The hosts remained in control for the rest of the first and sank 11-of-22 shots from beyond the arc and led 50-27 after 20 minutes of action.

In the second half, the Yellow Jackets' lead was cut to 26 at 64-38 after Zach Tucker knocked down a triple with 13:03 to go, but the Dutchmen were unable to get any closer and the No. 7 squad in the country eventually held on for the comfortable 94-56 win.
