How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team were shutout by Manhattanville, 6-0, on Friday night in Hershey. LVC falls to 1-4-1, 1-2-1 on the season while the Valiants improved to 4-2-1, 4-0-0.

The first period was scoreless despite the Valiants firing off 12 total shots, 10 of them on target. Jill Moffatt was up to the task making all 10 saves in the period to keep the game scoreless. The LVC offense struggled to get anything going as they managed just a single shot in the opening 20 minutes.

The Valiants would get on the board in the second period taking advantage of a Dutchmen penalty. On the man-advantage, Ali Howard would find the stick of Taylor Ham who found the back of the net with just over five minutes left in the period to give Manhattanville the 1-0 lead. Howard would add another goal later in the period at the 18:05 mark to double the deficit after two periods. The Valients would pick up four goals, including three by Tianna Lopes, in the final period to put the Dutchmen away.
