How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Four Dutchmen finished in double figures as a total team effort lifted Lebanon Valley's women's basketball team to a 62-42 victory over Marywood on Wednesday evening. LVC improves to 2-3 on the season while Marywood drops to 1-3.

The Dutchmen came out of the locker room on fire on the offensive end. LVC held a small 5-4 lead after a few minutes in the opening quarter before the Dutchmen would close the period on a 13-0 run that saw five different players score points during the run as LVC led 18-4 after the first 10 minutes. The Dutchmen continued to control play in the second period and took an 11-point advantage into halftime. LVC held the Pacers to just 26.1% shooting from the field while also causing 11 turnovers to help build the 26-15 halftime lead.

The Pacers would pick up a pair of buckets quickly in the third period and cut the deficit to just six. The Dutchmen would respond right away with layups from Emily Mealey and Jaime Youngkin to push the lead back up to double digits. LVC would maintain that advantage as they led 39-27 as the game headed into the fourth quarter.

The Dutchmen would put Marywood away and leave little doubt in the fourth period as they scored 23 points in the quarter, the most in any single quarter this season for the Dutchmen. The LVC offense clicked in the second half as they shot 52% from the floor for the half while holding the Pacers under 35% from the field. The Dutchmen would cruise to a 20-point victory after the big fourth quarter by a 62-42 score. The 62 points are a new season-high for the Dutchmen.
