How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa.Danielle Alba's second-quarter goal was all Nikki Willi and the Flying Dutchmen needed, as Lebanon Valley blanked Juniata 1-0 in the 2019 Division III ECAC Tournament Semifinal round and advanced to the championship game tomorrow at noon at Arnold Field. LVC improved to 13-7 today, while the Eagles' season ended at 10-10.

With no score in the second quarter, the Dutchmen generated a penalty corner for a chance to break the game open. Taylor Pentz delivered a perfect ball to Cecile Kat, and Kat then dished it to Alba, who rocketed it into the back of the net to give the Dutchmen a 1-0 advantage. LVC's one-goal lead held up heading into halftime.

In the third, the Dutchmen continued to generate consistent penalty corners, but were unable to take a two-goal lead. Willi and the rest of the Dutchmen's defense only needed a one-goal lead, however, as LVC's defense stood tall throughout the entire contest and held Juniata's offense in check, en route to the 1-0 victory in the ECAC Semifinal round.

Inside the Numbers
 - Danielle Alba netted her sixth goal of the season today. Alba added a team-high two shots on net.
 - Nikki Willi picked up her 10th win of the season after stopping the one save she faced.
 - Juniata's Nicole Piccioni was dealt the loss after making five stops in net.
 - The Dutchmen led in total shots at 12-2 and shots on goal at 6-1.
 - LVC also held the dominant lead in penalty corners at 10-2.

Who's Next?
LVC's 2019 season concludes tomorrow at noon when the Dutchmen host Shenandoah University in the 2019 DIII ECAC Field Hockey Championship game at Arnold Field. The Hornets defeated Alvernia 4-1 in the other semifinal game earlier this afternoon.
