How It Happened
READING, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team made quick work of Albright College on Wednesday night as the Dutchmen swept the Lions in Reading. LVC is back over .500 for the season as their record improves to 11-10, 2-2 while the Lions fall to 7-8, 0-5 on the year.

In the first set, Albright led midway through the set 12-10 before the Dutchmen would catch fire ending the opening set on a 15-2 run, including the last seven points, to take the first set easily 25-14. The second set was close early on with the Dutchmen leading 9-8 before they opened up another huge run on the Lions. LVC would win eight consecutive points, which included a pair of service aces by Julia Rill, to take control of the set and open up a 17-8 advantage. LVC would cruise to a 25-16 set win and led two sets to none quickly over the Lions.

The third set was the closest of the match with Albright coming out swinging and winning the first four points of the set. The Lions would lead 12-8 later in the set but the Dutchmen would pick up four quick points in a row to bring the score tied 12-12. The score was even at 15 apiece before the Dutchmen once again finished strong with a 10-6 run, punctuated by a Grace Powell kill to win the set and complete the sweep for LVC over Albright.
