How It Happened
READING, Pa. – Lebanon Valley got first half goals from Mitch Crane and Nathan Moshgat while holding Albright without a single shot on goal in a defensive gem by the backline to lift the Dutchmen to a 2-0 conference win on a rainy Wednesday evening. LVC improved to 6-6-2, 2-1-1, while the Lions drop to 5-9, 0-3, on the season.

The Dutchmen dominated possession in the first half and created many dangerous opportunities with a majority of play taking place in the defending third of the Lions. After multiple near misses by LVC, the Dutchmen would find the back of the net in the 28th minute. Peter Foerster would receive a cross in the 18-yard box and would rocket a shot that was saved momentarily by Albright but Crane would corral the rebound and one-time the ball into the left corner of the net to grab the early 1-0 lead.

Less than three minutes later, the Dutchmen would double their lead over the Lions on a goal by Moshgat. After a cross that went long, David Alcock headed the ball back across the face of the goal towards Moshgat who would head the ball again into the net to give the senior his first career goal as LVC led 2-0 with just under 14 minutes left in the opening half. LVC would maintain the two-goal advantage into the intermission.

After allowing just one shot in the first half, the Dutchmen defense continued to be stingy as the Lions only managed four shots in the second half. LVC would shutout the Lions and not allow a single shot on goal for the entire 90 minutes as the Dutchmen cruised to the 2-0 victory and their second-straight conference win.
