How It Happened
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Rob Hanosek scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime to lift the Dutchmen over the Lions 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon. LVC has won back-to-back games and improves their record to 4-5-1 on the year while the Lions fall to 7-4.

The first half was a defensive struggle as each team had a few dangerous chances in the first half but those chances were few and far between. Both sides only managed five shots in the first 45 minutes and the game remained scoreless as the game headed to halftime.

Just under three minutes into the second half, Joey Aman would find the back of the net to give the Lions the 1-0 lead. Aman capitalized on a failed clear attempt in the defending third of the Dutchmen and would find the back of the net. Just eight minutes later, LVC would tie it up on Hanosek's first goal of the afternoon. At the 67:55 mark, the Lions were awarded a penalty kick with a chance to take the lead but the shot went wide right and the score remained knotted up 1-1.

In the 74th minute, the Dutchmen countered a PSU attack and had numbers with a 3-on-2 advantage. On the break, Kazuya Hirano would feed Noah Resuta who would split two defenders and sneak the ball just under the arms of the Lion's keeper to give LVC a 2-1 advantage with just over 15 minutes to play. With just over five minutes left in regulation, the Lions would get their equalizer off the foot of Shammah Gahomera. The Lions were threatening late and after a Jared Brewer shot was blocked, it ricocheted right to the foot of Gaomera who blasted a left-footed shot into the right corner of the net to tie the score and eventually send the game to extra time.

It didn't take long for the Dutchmen to score the golden goal as Rob Hanosek fought through a host of Lions defenders and found the back of the net just 3:47 into extra time to lift the Dutchmen to their second consecutive win by a 3-2 score.
