How It Happened
GLENSIDE, Pa. – Arcadia's potent offense overpowered Lebanon Valley 89-57 on Wednesday night in MAC Commonwealth men's basketball action. The Dutchmen slipped to 5-10, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth, while the Knights, who received votes in the latest d3hoops.com poll, improved to 12-2, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth.

The home team hopped out to a quick 7-2 lead after Phil Pierfy's triple at 17:38. Later, at 14:35, Josh Scott increased Arcadia's lead to double digits when he knocked down a triple to make it 14-4. The Knights held the double-digit advantage until Mason Green sank a 3-pointer with 12:28 left in the opening half to bring LVC to within seven at 16-9. Unfortunately, Arcadia later extended its lead back to nine and led by nine or more throughout the remainder of the first, as the Dutchmen found themselves down 42-25 heading into halftime.

LVC began second-half action on a 7-2 spurt, capped by a layup from Jeremy Deihm, to come to within 12 at 44-32 with 17:32 remaining. The Dutchmen kept within striking distance for the next several minutes of action and at 11:47, Deihm connected on another layup to make it a 14-point game at 56-42. Down the stretch, however, the Knights were able to extend their lead and the Dutchmen were unable to get any closer. The home team went on to win by an 89-57 margin.
