How It Happened
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Lebanon Valley fell to Nazareth by a 3-0 margin to complete its two-game regular-season series with the Golden Flyers on Saturday afternoon in United Collegiate Hockey Conference UCHC) women's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen slipped to 4-14-0, 1-13-0, while Nazareth jumped to 14-3-1, 10-3-0 UCHC.

Jill Moffatt kept LVC in the game for most of the day, but Nazareth netted its first of the afternoon 6:41 into the opening period when Kyla Thompson found the back of the net for an unassisted tally. Then, at 14:14 of the first, Mikaila Rubin made it 2-0 in favor of the Golden Flyers to send the home team to a two-goal advantage after one period of action.

Moffatt was stellar all day, but particularly in the middle period when she shut out Nazareth's potent offense and made 23 saves in the second, the most out of any period on the day. The Dutchmen went up against one of the conference's best defenses, however, and were unable to generate many good scoring chances. As a result, LVC was blanked and at the 5:04 mark of the third, the Golden Flyers' Taylor Hudon added another, as the home team eventually held on for a 3-0 win, the same score as yesterday's contest between these two teams.

 - Nazareth's Adrianna Brehm made five saves in the shutout-victory.
