Brockport put the pressure on LVC right away with five shots in the first 3:30. The Golden Eagles were then able to find the back of the net 8:49 into the first period. The Dutchmen answered back with a goal from
Brett Johnson with an assist from
Zach Balodis and
TJ Sneath 17:29 into the period, making the score even 1-1.
The second period gave the Eagles a separation that the Dutchmen couldn't come back from. Brockport's Jeremy Solat netted one with an assist from Connor Hutchins and Ethan Solat 4:31 into the second and finished the period with a goal from Hutchins with just over a minute left. Lebanon Valley entered the final period down by two, but not out.
With the momentum from the second period, Brockport came out and score 1:26 into the third giving the Eagles a 4-1. The period stayed quiet until Brockport found the back of the net on a power play opportunity 13:46 into the third. The Dutchmen would answer back not even a minute later with a power play goal of their own from Brian Hovanec, assisted by
Tyler Romel and
TJ Sneath, bringing the score to 5-2. Both teams' offensive game continued to cash in, as the Eagles scored at 17:51 and the Dutchmen's
