How It Happened
GENESEO, N.Y. – Lebanon Valley dropped a hard-fought 6-2 game to No. 2 SUNY Geneseo on Friday night in non-conference men's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen fell to 6-5-2, while the Knights improved to 14-1-1.

LVC was the first to strike this evening when Tino Alunni found the back of the net off an assist from Felix Takacsi-Nagy to give the Dutchmen an early 1-0 advantage just 3:29 into first-period action. Geneseo, however, answered when Cam Russell beat Tyler Perhac to even the game at 1-1 at 13:28. Just 42 seconds later, the Knights took the lead when Conlan Keenan scored, and then, with 3:10 remaining in the opening period, Duggie Lagrone scored on the power play to give the home team a 3-1 cushion heading into the second period.

Not much action occurred in the middle period until Geneseo's Keenan netted his second of the day, this time a power-play tally, to make it a 4-1 game.

56 seconds into the third period with the Dutchmen down 4-1, TJ Sneath brought the visitors to within two when he scored from Justin Hall and Brett Johnson, but at 7:04, the Knights' Dan Bosio put the game out of reach with a goal, and just over a minute later, Henry Cleghorn added another for Geneseo, as the Knights eventually held on for the 6-2 victory.
