How It Happened
Lebanon Valley picked up its first victory of the young season on Wednesday afternoon; an impressive 4-0 shutout win over Misericordia at Herbert Field.

The Flying Dutchmen (1-1) took control of the contest early in the second half, scoring back-to-back markers in the span of less than 40 seconds before adding one for good measure in the 69th minute. LVC got on the board first with a goal in the game's 38th minute.

After an opening 30-plus minutes that saw the Dutchmen control the ball for most of that duration, David Alcock got the scoring started when he netted the first goal of his collegiate career late in the first half.

LVC picked up right it where left off to begin the second half, with Jake Kline doubling the advantage with a shot through traffic with 42:34 left to play. Then it was Rob Hanosek getting into the scoring act, burying a good look in front off a pretty feed from Kazuya Hirano just 39 seconds later.

With the momentum firmly in hand, the Dutchmen put a cap on the scoring when Ivan Jorel collected his own errant shot off the post and finished by guiding his rebound into the left side of the net with 21:26 remaining.
