How It Happened
Lebanon Valley came painstakingly close to coming away with its first victory of the young season on Wednesday night. Instead, Juniata put together a late comeback that ended in a 3-2 overtime win for the Eagles in Huntingdon, Pa.

The Flying Dutchmen (0-2) and Juniata (2-0) were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation and it took just 2:36 for the home team to convert the game winner, as Rebecca Waite scored her second goal of the night off an assist by Grace Alexander in the 72nd minute to clinch a thrilling early-season victory for the Eagles.

For Waite, it was her second clutch score of the night. She also netted the equalizer in the 54th minute following a Juniata penalty corner. Sarah Alexander and Olivia Marker assisted on the marker.

Cecile Kat had given Lebanon Valley its first lead since the game's early moments when she put her shot past Juniata goalkeeper at the 50:56 mark, breaking a 40-plus minute stalemate. For Kat, the score came after assisting on Mikayla Poole's goal that opened the game's scoring little more than five minutes into the contest.

Juniata tied things up when Grace Kuszmani converted a penalty stroke exactly one minute of game time later.
