How It Happened
CORTLAND, N.Y. – In Lebanon Valley's third match at the Cortland Red Dragon Classic, the Flying Dutchmen suffered another hard-fought, five-set defeat, this time at the hands of SUNY Oneonta.
Jess Attieh dominated and stuffed the stat sheet and finished with 19 kills and a .341 hitting percentage to go along with six digs, three service aces, five solo blocks, and four blocking assists.
Amanda Sides was also in double digits in kills with 11, while
Jayna Class added seven kills, four aces, and seven digs.
Erin Koons registered 46 assists and 10 digs for LVC.
Emily Smeltz dug out 13 balls and
Reily Shelly recorded seven digs.
Lebanon Valley def. D'Youville 3-0 (25-8, 25-21, 25-13)
How It Happened
In the Dutchmen's final match of the Cortland Red Dragon Classic, LVC dominated D'Youville in a 3-0 victory, its first of the 2018 season.
Attieh led the way yet again offensively, notching 11 kills and an impressive .714 hitting percentage. Class and
Mikiah Sangrey each had seven kills, while Shelly registered a team-high eight digs, followed by Koons and
Carli Sholl, who dug out five balls each. Koons led the team in assists with 33, and as a team, LVC served up eight aces.
Attieh Named All-Tournament
For the second consecutive year, Attieh was named to the Cortland Red Dragon Classic All-Tournament Team after hitting .350 in four matches.
Who's Next?
MAC Commonwealth action begins for LVC on Wednesday when the Dutchmen travel to take on Arcadia at 7 p.m.
