How It Happened
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley was edged by DeSales by a 1-0 margin on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action. LVC fell to 2-2-1, while the Bulldogs improved to 2-3-2.
In the 85th minute, with the match knotted at 0-0, DeSales' Rachel Medlar delivered a ball inside the box to Natalie Dorsheimer, and Dorsheimer made a move and scored into an open net to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 advantage.
Just before the eventual game-winner, LVC saw a solid chance when
Rileigh Jo Evitts got a shot off, however it went wide left and the game remained scoreless.
In the early going,
Katie Goldsmith ripped a shot on net, but Haley Jacobs was there to make the save. Later, in the 19th minute,
Lucy McGloshen had a shot on net, but again Jacobs made the save.
