How It Happened
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's soccer team saw its three-game win streak snapped after a 3-0 loss to Elizabethtown on Saturday night in non-conference action. The Dutchmen dropped to 3-2, while the Blue Jays won their first match of the season and improved to 1-4-1.

E-Town didn't waste much time lighting up the scoreboard, as Gilbert Waso stole the ball from an LVC defender at the 18 and cut to left and shot to his right, sneaking one by Ryan Harding to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 advantage just 43 seconds into action.

Just a minute and seven seconds later, E-Town's Connor Rathsam received a quick pass from Waso, and from the middle of the field near the box, Rathsam finished his touch and scored to the right side, giving the Blue Jays a two-goal advantage less than two minutes into the game. Throughout the remainder of the half, possession and shots stayed equal, but LVC still saw itself down 2-0 heading into the second half.

In the second, the Dutchmen threatened numerous times and played more of an offensive half, but were unable to get close to E-Town, as the Blue Jays put the game out of reach in the 89th minutes when JD Haaf scored from Waso to give E-Town a late 3-0 advantage, which eventually held up to be the final score.
