ANNVILLE, Pa. – Former Lebanon Valley standout Lindsey Yeiser Hibshman '01 has been elected to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Hall of Fame.
The conference's hall of fame was established to honor the MAC's 100th anniversary in 2012-13. This year's class, the seventh class, is comprised of 16 inductees from current and former member institutions.
"For seven years we have selected outstanding alumni from our 60 current and former institutions for the MAC Hall of Fame," said MAC Executive Director Ken Andrews. "This year's inductees are as impressive as the 148 previous inductees. The 2018 class continues to represent the great legacy of this conference. The athletics, service, and professional prowess they display exemplifies the best in college athletics. On behalf of our 17 members, I congratulate these inductees as they receive MAC recognition from their alma mater."
Hibshman became Lebanon Valley's first three-time all-American and still remains one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history. She was the first of only two LVC players to be named a three-time NFHCA All-American after earning three NFHCA All-Region First-Team honors. Hibshman was a three-time All-Commonwealth League (now MAC Commonwealth) First-Team selection (1998, 1999, 2000) and was tabbed a second-teamer in 1997. She was named the Commonwealth League MVP in 1999 and the conference rookie of the year in 1997. The Flying Dutchmen won conference titles in 1997 and 2000, while finishing as the league's runner-up in both 1998 and 1999. LVC made a run to the NCAA Tournament Final Four during her freshman campaign in 1997 and she was selected to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game in 2000.
Hibshman was also a standout student-athlete in women's basketball and softball during her time at LVC. She was named the softball team's MVP in 1999, and earned the LVC Female Athlete of the Year award as a senior in 2001. She was inducted into the Lebanon Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
