Men's Tennis Edges Arcadia

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team had to work hard to pick up its fourth consecutive victory, with the squad edging a game Arcadia group 5-4 in MAC Commonwealth play at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday evening, April 18.
 
The Flying Dutchmen (9-6, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth) took two out of three matches from the Knights (6-6, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) in doubles action, beginning with reigning MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week Blake Martin and Reed Morris defeating Nick Simeone and Jaime Zeng Zhu 8-3 in the No 1 outing. Elliott Kleckner and Ben Hinkley also held off Jon Zinzer and Alex Post by an 8-6 margin in the third contest.
 
Hinkley took care of Post 6-3, 6-0 in the in the No. 6 singles outing and Luke Senft won a competitive No. 4 match 6-3, 7-5 over Zeng Zhu. It was Jordan Heavel's three-set victory in the No. 3 slot that proved the difference. The senior sandwiched a pair of 6-2 wins around a 2-6 defeat to top Drake Hanak and seal the overall win for LVC.
 
The Dutchmen have one road contest remaining and will travel to Stevenson for another conference match on Saturday afternoon before hosting Albright in the regular season finale on April 28.
