How It Happened
Lebanon Valley started the final day of its annual spring break trip with a dominant 9-1 victory over Mount Union in six innings in Clermont, Fla. on Friday morning, March 9.
 
Clinging to a slim 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Flying Dutchmen (3-4) unleashed their bats and scored seven runs in the stanza to end the game early. LVC used five hits and took advantage of three Purple Raider errors to plate the game-winning tallies.
 
Savannah Toth led off the frame with a single before Lexi Windsor walked and then came back-to-back base knocks from Kate Whelski and Cheyanne Brown. A fielder's choice sandwiched between two Mount Union errors kept the onslaught rolling before RBI singles from Alison Noga and Windsor finished things off.
 
Inside the Circle
- Lexi Windsor earned her second win of the spring by throwing six innings and allowing just one run on six hits and three walks to go along with one strikeout.
- Hannah Reusser was sidled with the loss after surrendering four earned runs on 10 hits and four walks. She also racked up five strikeouts.
 
At the Plate
- Kate Whelski had a strong outing, finishing 2-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and a pair of RBI.
- Savannah Toth, Lexi Windsor, and Cheyanne Brown also had multi-hit games.
- Whelski, Brown, and Annie McClain each doubled in the victory.
- All six of Mount Union's base knocks were singles.
 
Around the Diamond
- Mackenzie Hasenauer swiped the lone stolen base for LVC.
- Mount Union's three errors led to four unearned runs.
- The Purple Raiders left 10 runners on base, compared to five left on base by Lebanon Valley.

How It Happened
Lebanon Valley wrapped up its annual spring break trip with a 16-1 drubbing of Morrisville State in five innings in Clermont, Fla. on Friday afternoon, March 9. With the win, LVC finished its trip down south with a .500 record at 4-4.

The Dutchmen return to action when they travel to Elizabethtown for a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon, March 14.
