Grube, Beachel, and Heard Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

5/18/2026 11:00:00 AM

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lebanon Valley softball team had three student-athletes earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region honors in a release by the organization. Holly Grube and Miley Beachel were selected to the First Team, while Megan Heard was voted to the Third Team in Region IV.

NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region. All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 27. The Dutchmen had three All-Region honorees for the first time since 2023.

Grube earned her spot on the First Team at second base after a record-breaking year for the Dutchmen. The Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Player of the Year batted .471 with a program record 74 hits and 19 doubles. The leadoff hitter also had six triples, three home runs, and 31 runs batted in. She was a force on the base paths with 24 stolen bases on 25 attempts with 42 runs scored. She ranks fourth in the nation in hits, 14th in doubles, and 15th in total bases with 114. This is her second consecutive year earning First Team All-Region honors after she was voted as the Regional Rookie of the Year and National Freshman of the Year finalist as a utility player last spring.

Beachel also earned a spot on the First Team as a utility/pitcher. The MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year and MAC Freedom Championship MVP had a fantastic season in the circle and in left field. She was 11-5 with one save and a 3.27 earned-run average as a pitcher and hit .304 as a hitter. Beachel struck out 54 batters in 102.2 innings of work that spanned 20 appearances with 17 starts and included four shutouts. At the plate, she had 41 hits, including 10 doubles and three triples, 18 RBIs, and 26 runs scored, with 10 stolen bases. Beachel had eight wins in the circle in her last 10 pitching appearances of the season.

Heard earned a spot on the Third Team at shortstop after a great senior season. The MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year earns her first career All-Region honor after helping lead the Dutchmen to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Heard batted .372 with 48 hits, including one double and two triples, while drawing 22 walks and six hit-by-pitches. She drove in 22 runs and scored 28 times while being a force on the bases with 25 stolen bases. In the field, the shortstop had 79 putouts and 99 assists while assisting in 15 double plays.
