ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley softball team had four student-athletes named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization this week.
The Academic All-District® Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 90 percent of games or started in 66 percent of the games this spring, with a limit of five nominations per gender per school. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
