How It Happened
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After not playing for a week thanks to Winter Storm Toby, Lebanon Valley's baseball team was finally back on the field Sunday for a doubleheader against Penn College. In the opening game, the Dutchmen took down the Wildcats by a 5-1 margin to improve to 4-8.

The Dutchmen provided starting pitcher Kyle Kingsbury with some early run support when Bryan Towers scored on a passed ball in the top of the first, followed later by a Colin Albright single to center field that platted Michael Leri. Then, in the second frame, Leri reached on an error by the shortstop, allowing Towers and Jon Harned to cross the plate and increase LVC's lead to 4-0.

In the bottom of the third, Penn got one back to make it a 4-1 game, but Harned scored thanks to a balk in the top of the fourth and the Dutchmen were able to hang out and defeat the Wildcats 5-1 in game one.

At the Plate (Game One)
 - Albright led the offense with a pair of hits and an RBI.
 - Towers added two runs and stole a base.

 On the Mound (Game One)
 - Kingsbury picked up his first collegiate win, tossing five innings and allowing no earned runs while striking out four.
 - Dylan Stephen was awarded with the save after throwing two innings and giving up just one hit.

How It Happened
In the nightcap, a six-run second inning by the home team sunk the Dutchmen and put LVC in a hole that it was unable to climb out of. The Dutchmen now sit at 4-9 overall, while the Wildcats are now 4-6 on the season.

Despite the loss, Marty Kiessling picked up his 100th-career hit as a member of LVC's baseball team to join elite company.

With the score tied at 0-0 heading into the bottom of the second, Penn delivered six runs to take an early 6-0 advantage. The Wildcats added another in the bottom of the fourth, but Dutchmen attempted a comeback in the final two innings. Josh Marcelli grounded into a double play to score Josh Herring in the top of the sixth, and Herring then singled home Trevor Bertsch and Deavor Koch in the seventh, however it wasn't enough as LVC fell 7-3.

At the Plate (Game Two)
 - Herring and TJ Holdredge recorded two hits each, while Herring knocked in a pair.
 - Bertsch walked twice, scored a run and notched a double.

 On the Mound (Game Two)
 - Marcelli went 1.2 innings and gave up five earned runs.
 - LVC's bullpen was solid, as Ryan Showalter, Tregg Liebel, Brendan Ward, and Logan Stover combined to go 4.1 innings and allowed three hits and struck out three.
