How It Happened
PINE VALLEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team dropped a 12-0 decision to No. 1 Elmira on Friday night in United College Hockey Conference (UCHC) action. The Dutchmen slipped to 2-3-1, 1-2-0 UCHC, while the Soaring Eagles improved to 4-0-0, 3-0-0 UCHC.

Elmira, last year's NCAA Division III Runners-Up, got things going early when Tristen Tolan scored just 1:05 into the game. Later in the first, Tolan added her second of the game to make it a 2-0 score. Elmira added another tally with just over a minute remaining in the first and took a 3-0 lead into the second period.

In the second period, Mychaela Pitta got a shot off, but Stephanie Martin was there for the save. Later, Darby Seymour saw a quality chance, but her shot sailed just wide. In the middle period, the Soaring Eagles added four more tallies and went into the third period with a 7-0 advantage.

In the third, LVC drew a penalty on Elmira and got two minute of an advantage. The Dutchmen, however, were unable to record a shot on the power-play. In the final minutes of the period, Emma Stillwaggon and Mychaela ripped some shots on net, but Martin was again there to make the save and the Soaring Eagles went on to win 12-0.
